Educational Notice: Admission into BAMS/BHMS Course in Assam (2025-26)

The Directorate of AYUSH, Assam has officially released the admission notice for State Quota seats in BAMS/BHMS courses for the academic session 2025-26.

Colleges Offering Admission:

 Govt. Ayurvedic College, Jalukbari, Guwahati-14

 SJN Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati-37

Eligibility Criteria for State Quota Seat:

To apply for admission, candidates must meet the following conditions:

1. Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India.

2. Residency: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam. Either the candidate or their parents must have continuously resided in Assam for at least 20 years.

 Note: This condition does not apply to children of All India Service officers allotted to Assam.

3. Educational Qualification: The candidate must study in Assam from Class VII to XII and pass the qualifying exam (or its equivalent) from an institute in Assam.

    Relaxation: If a candidate studies outside Assam because their parent is a Government employee posted outside Assam, the condition is relaxable.

Admission Process After Declaration Form Submission

1. Verification of Documents: Submitted forms will be verified by the authority.

2. Counselling Schedule: Shortlisted candidates will be called for counselling based on their NEET-UG 2025 rank.

3. Seat Allotment: Seats will be allotted according to merit, category, and availability.

4. Reporting to College: Candidates allotted seats must report to their respective colleges with all original documents and admission fees.
